Associate Professor of Art - San Diego State University
Responsibilities and accomplishments include: Teaching studio courses in sculpture. Development, management and advising for the Art Education emphasis area. Authored the Single Subject Waiver program approved by the California commission on teaching Credentialing (1994). Authored course Art 385 History and Practice of Art Education.
1994 - 2000
Arts Coordinator - Carlsbad Unified School District
Responsibilities included: Developing, implementing and managing during and after school arts programs for six elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. This included hiring and training artists, curriculum design, classroom management workshops, and assessment. Programs ranged from short and long term residencies, performances, and professional development workshops for teachers. Other responsibilities included: managing and supervising existing programs, working in partnership with City Arts Office, The national Association of Music Merchants, The Institute for Arts Education and other local arts agencies.
